I may look into replacing the gears, I originally bought my truck with the intent of buying a travel trailer for camping, so I thought I would need the extra umph when towing but the trailer plans have been thrown out the window.

Do you still have factory tires? If you changed tire height, that would make your mileage reading incorrect unless the computer is corrected. That isone of the adjustments that can be made with the Edge, as indicated above.
