Strange noise from rear

So more and more frequently I am hearing a noise coming from the underside of the rear of my truck. It used to only happen when I would take right turns at speeds >20mph. Now it seems to happen regardless of speed and when I am turning right or left or even hitting bumps. It is almost like a banging noise as though something on the undercarriage is slipping or moving. The dealer says it is the axle shifting inside the casing but I really don't think that is the case. i believe they think this because they can make a similiar sound when they push the truck back and forth. Anyone have ANY ideas?

U-joints. Im guessing you are hearing the noise after you accelerate out of the corner. Mine was doing the same thing, i replaced the u-joints, the clank is gone.

Your axels dont shift or move far enough to make a banging noise, and if they are moving more than 3/8 to 1/4 of an inch, you have a bigger problem than just a clank noise.

I have the same noise on my '04. I figure it's coming from the rear shackles since it only occurs when I turn or otherwise put a load on the rear. My dealer looked at it but couldn't reproduce the noise and I'm not worried enough about it to keep looking for it.
