I've seen a truetrac put in the front. However, I just ruined both hubs over this weekend in the snow...now I have the ice in a blender problem again (severely). These hubs aren't worth a lick, I want to put a truetrac up there as well but am afraid I'll be replacing hubs like underwear.

I wouldn't put a locker in the front. Makes handling in the snow a lot dicier. Unless your doning serious off roading often, it just isn't worth it.

I had a LS in the front and Detroit locker in the rear of my Bronco.

Sometimes even in deep sand it would crab on me because all four wheels were turning at the same rpm.

Go with a locker in the rear for sure.

And no more than a LS in the front.

Unless you are building a dedicated 4 wheeler that you plan to trailer to your favorite off road site.

I don't know how they would work in the F150, but I have the trutrac front and Auburn Ected rear of my Jeep (used to be a detroit, switched for little better streetability). I absolutely love the trutrac, I would use nothing else as an LS. However, I am not familiar with the hub problem on the F150's.

a selectable ARB locker up front would be the way to go, open operation for the street and 100% locked for when you need it, that is going to be my rout in the front and rear when my factory rear LS goes out, i am going selectable locker in the rear because i tow heavy weight regularly. good luck

ya that was my first thought, then when i asked the guy at the shop he told $700 for the locker and thats not including labor, not gonna happen lol maybe if i was building a seriouse offroader but i just want alittle better traction, i think i might just go with true tracs front and rear, put a LS in the front and upgrade the rear.
