Carpet cleaning

Well after 2 years the carpet in my XLT is kinda grimy. With spring around the corner I want to plan to clean the carpet.

What do the dealers use to get 'em to look new? What do you all do?

Hoover Spot & Stain cleaner. Picked it up a Lowe's. Works great on the seats too. Pick up some Scotchguard while you're there.

It's a little involved, but...My friend that owns a Ford dealership has his guys take the carpet completely out of the vehicles and powerwashes them. Goes back in just like new. I've never done that to my own vehicles though. I use "Tuff Stuff" on spots" and when I shampoo the carpet in my house I rent a rug doctor and get the apolstry tool to do the truck carpet. Used it on the seats too in my previous trucks which had cloth seats.
