My god some of you like doing things the hard way. Take your floor jack and put it under the axle where the spring plate is (same spot the OEM jack is supposed to go). Lift the wheel, pull off the shock and put on the new one, repeat on the other side. As for putting the jack under the diff, DON'T DO IT!! The case isn't designed for that kind of load and could crack under the strain. Just because it hasn't happened to some of you yet doesn't mean it can't or won't at some point.

Then when someone does crack their diff they will post here about what a POS the Ford diffs are.
