Exclamation Help Please!

Hey everyone!
I posted this message in a different thread but I'm reposting it here because I need some help and I'm not sure that it will get read there. Please forgive me in advace...It's kind of long. Here it is....

I too have a vibration problem with my 04. Since everyone is describing the same "symptoms" as I am having, I'm now wondering if it could indeed be the e-Brake. The only problem with this is that I've never used it.

I got the truck in Nov. and it drove like a cadillac! A couple of weeks ago, my hubby hit a deer. It didn't damage anything other than the grille, bumper and everything in between there to but not included the radiator. We drove it for about a week afterwards and she still ran great! Then we put it in the shop to be put back together. Went yesterday to pick it up and I didn't get back to the highway until she started vibrating real bad. It was so bad that when you looked at the guages, they looked blurry! Anyway, we tried three times to bring her home and she was just to bad. Although at times, she didn't do it at all and never before we hit 55mph. Well the shop guy says that he thinks the transmission is going out. I personally think they had to do SOMETHING to it. (there's other issues that support this claim as well) But either way, Right now, it's at the shop waiting for a mechanic to look at it on Monday and I'm hear having a heart attack.

Does anyone know if it could be the E-brake, even though we've never engaged it? (not saying that the shop didn't for some reason or that it wasn't a problem before Nov. when we got her)
And, is there anyway that the tranny is causing this?
Thanks for ANY advice and feel free to email me too!

I would have to say E-Brake..... Only other thoughts I can come up with would be a wheel weight may have come off one of the tires. Can you speculate where the vibration is coming from... Front/Rear of the truck? Any possible way the deer could have possibly gotten run over knocked the alignment out? Screwed up a tire? (Not so sure any of this would create the severity of vibration you are describing)

Im just throwing out ideas and things that come to mind here... Trying to give you some kind of direction to look. Hope it's an easy/simple fix and the mechanics are "straight" with you!

Let us know what you find out please!

04 Vibration

Hi Tom!
Thank you for your reply! The deer was tossed threw the air and ended up under the guard rail....It actually didn't even slow us down. To be honest, I think the dealer is already holding out. I mentioned "other reasons" in my first post well here they are....WHen we tried to pick it up, we noticed two long scratches down the drivers side of my truck and two small dents in the door. They didnt put up any fuss about paying to fix it when I mentioned them to the guy. Anf When we looked at the receipt later on at home, I noticed that they billed the insurance company for two headlights when my truck only needed one and they also replaced my water visors on my windows that we had JUST installed before we took it to them. And then we discovered the vibrating when we tried to bring her home. I'm really thinking that they know what happened to it.

We checked the wheel balancers and anything similar. Tires and all. It seems to be coming from the front. You start to feel it first in the steering wheel and then it gets really bad the faster you go. Like I said, they are blaming the transmission but I'm not sure that it can even cause a vibration like that. Do you know? And like I said, we drove it for a week or better after the deer with no problems other than it being ugly.
Thanks again!
Angie
