I have said it before and will say it again...I will never own another Kumho tire. I had a set or Kumho Ecsta 305-35-24s that on 3 of the 4 the sidewalls started to separate do to a problem with the rubber compound not being right during manufacturing (confirmed by 3 tire stores...two were Kumho dealers.) I tried multiple times to get a response from Kumho on this and they refused to honor the warranty for BS reasons they made up as they went. The customer service was non-existent at best and after finally getting tired of the inability to even get a response from them on what was clearly a safety issue I just bought a new set of tires. But then again maybe the problem was I didn't speak Korean....what ever it was I wont ever have another set of Kumhos on anything I own.

Thanks for the opportunity to spread my my experiences with Kumho tires again...as I promised them I would every chance I get!

I looked at every tire resource I know of & I can't find any treadwear info. I've also heard very little about Kumho in general. 90% of the guys I work with that have 4X4's run BFG's. Looking in your gallery, I see that you currently run 325/60/18. WWW.TIRERACK.COM doesn't list this particular tire in this size, the closest things being 35X12.5QR18 & 38X15.5QR18. They are $267 & $279 each. Is this the going rate for this kind of off road tire? If it is, now I know why I have a 2WD truck.

KC-10 FE out...

Kumho tires are the only ones I buy now. I have a set of them on my Mustang Cobra (see my gallery) currently. I am very picky about tires. I only buy Ultra Performance tires rated for high speed and traction. Money is no object for me because when you have cars capable of 150+ mph and I do on occasion take it those speeds, your life is in the hands of the tires.

I have tried nearly every brand over the past 20 years and 8 mustangs later that eat tires every 20K miles. This is my second set of Kumho tires. I like them for several reasons (reasons 1 & 2 are giant issues for me).

1) They always stay in balance.
2) They do not pull in road ruts.
3) They grip the road like nothing else
4) They look good
5) They are priced good
6) Low Noise

There are a couple minor short comings:

1) They are a soft tire, which makes them wear slightly quicker, but ride nice.
2) They are only "fair" in wet weather (never had them in snow). Nothing scary but grip in the wet could be better.

If you read review on Tire Rack or Discount Tire, you will find that most people really like them. I have not put them on any other vehicle besides my Mustangs, but I intend to put them on my truck when the current ones go. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them, which for me is not the norm, as I am more picky then most. I have had these tires at speeds of 135+ mph for LONG periods of time and they are rock solid and very stable.

My .02

I think they need to make a 33/11.50/17 or 35/12.50/17

I have Kumhos "basic" M/T on my work truck and they are great! I have about 25000 on them and they have about 10-15000 miles worth of tread left. I am probably buying another set once these wear out.

My Kumhos are alot louder than the Nittos are, but that could also be since my work truck needs an alignment also. For me I am glad that I have the Nittos on my personal truck because for the noise. But for the price that I got my Kumhos for, $130/tire mounted balanced(33X12.5X15), its really hard to beat them

15/32" tread depth doesn't sound like much for a mud terain tire...
