Keyless entry - replacing broken remote

One of my remotes has a broken section where the ring goes for your keyring. It works fine except for that broken piece.

Can I buy one of the replacements on eBay and just pop in the electronics from the old one, without having to program/reprogram anything?

If you buy a replacement on ebay with the same ford part # on the back you can program it yourself. I bought an extra and programmed mine...I think you put the key in and turn the ignition on and off like 8 times and the door locks will lock. Then press the unlock button on the remote and if it unlocks the doors turn the key off and it is programmed. Remember that this all has to be done in like 10 seconds so you have to do it quick....hope this helps.

Yes you can or you can program the new one to your truck like stated above. Make sure you get the same numbers that are on the back of your old one.
