If mounting depth is not a deciding factor...then 2 IDMAX12s is the way to go for SQL...which sounds like your striving for.

You'll have to give a little on either side. If you just want SPL (loud) there are subs designed for that. If you want SQ (sound quality) there's subs designed for that too. But, SQL (sound quality loud) you give a little on either side to get a happy meduim. MAGs & IDMAX are my favorite for SQL.

You're gonna need alot of amp to run those man. Once upon a time I was going to buy bushtree's box (the same youre looking at) and put 2 idmax's in there. That would be the ultimate setup imo. MAKE SURE that you mat the roof though or its going to rattle like crazy.

I've seen the IDMAX12 go for as low as $250 new, but yeah, they are $450 each. So are the MAGs new.

I know someone that will be selling a pair of nice used IDMAX12s soon (if he hasn't already). Heck, I might be selling my whole system here soon as well...haven't decided yet.

He takes care of his stuff...so I'm willing to bet they are in good condition. I don't know how much he wants for them though.

I'm running a Zapco 9.0 to mine...~2200 watts.

i see your running 2 of those amps.....one for each sub? or one for subs....1 for components im guessing logically?

basically what im tyring to figure out is....

what amp to go with....to have all the power i need with my AudioMobiles...but if i decide to switch to some newer sbus like the MAGS or IDMAXS to have plenty of power for them.

so what do you say? my AudioMobiles are **SVC 4's...so i need a amp that runs 1 channel at 2 Ohms**

also if i were to buy from RE what model should i go with to get good SQL??

the solo xs are nice, i sell them at the shop i work at.

the id maxs are some nice moofers

the si mags.

as far re's i have the sx's they arent to shabby. the best sq subs that re offers imo are the XXX subs, but they are a lil more pricey
