Black interior opinions

I put this post on the screw forum, but no opinions yet, so I thought I would try everyone here:

New to the forum...I pretty much know what F-150 Screw I am going to purchase - a 07 Lariat w/6 1/2' bed and navigation (I travel and that is my office); anyway I am trying to decide on an interior color. I test drove a new 06 a month ago and it had a black interior and I could not decide if I liked it or not. I have an 05 EB Expedition and like the tan interior but don't like how dirty the leather and plastic gets so quickly (the kids), espicially if your running shoes touch some plastic. I clean the leather and plastic monthly, however it is difficult to get some of the markings out.
I just wanted to get some folks thoughts on the black interior and its wear and tear - espicially on the black leather seats.
Thanks in advance!

I have black leather and my wife has a EB Expy and I can tell you my truck's leather is much much easier to keep clean than hers is. A common misconception is its hotter, but I can honestly say I have never noticed it. My dad has a 05 Lariat with tan interior and he has said several times he wishes he had gotten black.

I have NEVER regretted getting black. My wife has tan in here explorer and it does show dirt much more then the black. I feel the black is more classy as well. When i bought my truck it had to have black with a sunroof!

Once you go black...

Ive had tan leather and currently have the black Leather interior and its great. Whith tan, the dirt shows up but you cant see it on the black interior. Right now Im car shopping and will be going with a black interior once again.

No complaints about the black leather after my first south Florida summer. Still looks great when cleaned up.

black leather is the only way to go, especially with some 5% tint.. It's a deadly combination

I ordered mine with black. Much easier to keep "clean".

I love my black leather, wouldnt go anyother way now that I have had it. Can be a little cold in the winter, I live in Northern Ontario Canada so we have some pretty cold mornings, but with the heat seat options they warm up in like 2 minutes. The summer they get warm but nothing really uncomfortable. They clean up nice, and really dont require much care, little conditioner every now and then.

I have had tan and black interior. I like the black much better than the tan. It is easy to keep clean. Plus, like others have said, its not as hot as people say.

love my black interior. the carpet shows stuff, but its not bad. the leather almost never looks dirty, except when you go to the dirt short tracks the clay dust shows. but its easy to clean, and with my windows tinted black, no probs with hot seats!

I absolutely despise the look of a tan interior. I would never own one, on ANY color vehicle. If a dealer offered me 50% off a car with a tan interior, I would take it long enough to put it on EBAY.

I actually wanted a dark grey interior but black was all that was offered. Dark BullFighter Red & Black is definitely a sharp combo.

KC-10 FE out...

Man, I love my black interior. I think it looks killer sharp with the white stitching, and the black leather. Sure, it's cold in the winter, but what leather isn't. And it's super easy to keep clean. Never really that hot in the summer. And if you've got a black dog like myself, you don't have to worry about seeing black after he's in there...

This is very funny. That is exactly how I feel. Tan truck=tan interior. Anything else no. When my wife and I went shopping for a honda pilot we liked several colors, but hated tan interiors. I had a red truck with the tan interior and it got dirty very easily.

I went with the black on black...luv it. Super easy to clean and baby wipes make it even easier.

I love my black interior, and in the 07's the seating is more comfortable than the previous years. Here's a pic of Black Sport Cloth Interior
