My buddy just leased a XLT Screw, and loves my FX4 cluster, and wants to change it. Question is, because its a lease, will this effect his odometer reading. Im sure he will return it to stock when the lease is up. Im not sure where the memory is for the odometer, if its in the cluster, or in the control mod for the truck. If anyone can shed some light on this, that would be great.

The mileage is in the cluster. The leasing company knows this. Thus they put little seals on the cluster so if he changes it, they will know, and he will be in violation of his leasing agreement.
