Seat Lift?

who all makes seat lifts out there? and whats the biggest seat lift there is?

im trying to find a way to put these 12's under my back seat instead of taking up my middle seat.

problem is...not sure how deep they are..since they are in a box currently.

LMI is the only one who makes a kit for our trucks... the kit is 2.5 inches but i put about 1/2" of washers underneath the kit to give my box extra clearance, so that it would fit farther under my seat...(pics in gallery:interior)

That's what I thought when I bought mine. I thought it was way to expensive but for the build quality of the kit... I think it is worth the price.

i got a seat lift...its is $155 shipped (Part # LMI 0425 SC) and i think it would be a HUGE project to fab one up yourself....

as for the box, i couldnt find anyone that built a box for 12's under the seat (besides cutting out a box for 10s) but you have to watch the mounting depth...so i just built one myself

i would also suggest doing some kind of sound deadening at least on the back wall and the doors

hope this helps

With a seat lift (I see you got the info you were seeking on it), it is going to depend on the 12" sub if it will fit or not. Of cousre the mounting depth is an issue, but other things as well...like clearance for excursion and enough box volume thats adequate for the subs.

I have the 12" MAGs. They have a mounting depth of 6.75" and need at least 2.25" clearance for excursion. They also call for at least 1ft^3 sealed (after driver displacement). I was able to build the biggest box that would fit good enough and still accomplish all of this. If you do a search in the speaker & subwoofer forum...there's a thread with my box dimensions.
