Remove the headliner, and tear off the original cloth (which may be an adventure in itself), then use quality carpet/headliner glue (3M) and a razor knife to pie cut curves and angles. The razor knife part is really where experience comes in...Good luck, seriously...

Old headliner, use a small putty knife to remove old foam. New headliner, use your fingers to rub off the foam. Get a friend or many friends to help get the foam off because it will wear out your fingers. If the original liner is in really good shape you might put the new material on top but you're taking a chance on having to redo your job later.

The glue may break down the adhesive used on the original material. It may work fine, maybe not. Try it and let us know.

you can just apply the suede over your old headliner just make sure to coat it nice in glue, and when you wrap to the other side staples work.

I've thought about doing this too. Take some pic's along the way and let us know when you get it done! Good luck! *waiting*
