Mod was a good one. For almost zero cost it was far better than the stock. The author removed the post a few months back because some guys were having a hissy fit bickering back and forth.
If you don't have the $$, it was good, had it on mine for a while, didn't throw any codes.
But I eventually spent the $$ for a TRUE COLD AIR intake, got a VOLANT!

ive done it too- still have it no codes-before or after xcal2 tuning...
consists of a 8-10" section of (4" dia. i believe) Drain Waste Vent pipe (prefferably black PVC) a rubber coupler, a rubber gutter-to-downspout converter and couple pipe clamps- lowes and/or homedepot have all the ingredients for a great cheap mod.

i did that mod and had it on for a year. i think it helped a little with acceleration. just put a k and n on 230.00 from autoanything.com. did a lot of internet searching and they had the cheapest price. free shipping. got it in 3 days. took about an hour to pull the old intake and install the new. big diff in acceleration. i have a borla siso and it changed the sound of it on wide open. only have 150 miles on it but it appears to have increased gas mileage. wont know that till i fill up a couple times.

go for the intake.
