I was going to go back today and look for the tow hook and whatever else came off his truck but im too disgusted to go back.

And yes, i tried putting it in 4x4 low and i still didnt get all 4 tires spinning. I dont have the limited slip but still....they need a better system to actually use 4x4 instead of only having 2 wheels spinning
Check myspace video for 2 rear tires spinning.

josiah, if u chime back in, post a link or somehow get that video that u said u had.. i would like to see... thats one of my biggest fears about pulling ppl out.. or getting pulled out.. is breaking soemthing off, or its snapping and keeling somebody.. scary stuff.. thats why i spent the extra 50 on a good strap. i woudl advise anybody on this site or with a truck to do the same.. better safe then sorry. u never know.

Anyone know where I can get a good strap and a D link (is that right?) for a good price? I have seen the D link setup in a reciever hitch (which I like) but can you put one on the front tow hook for a strap as well?

You can look at any truck site on the internet. They will have them. You can also go to your local tractor supply and get some real good heavy duty stuff for a good price. You should always have a couple d-links in your truck and a good strap.

Thanks for the heads up. I will check out maybe a TSC around here. I keep some ratcheting tie downs with me that I have used in the past to pull out people. But they were light duty type stuff. I just know one of these days they are gonna snap and cause some damage, or worse hurt someone. Maybe Walmart? I want the stuff I need, but I don't need the cadillac of ****** straps, just the right stuff for a "stuck" need..

Well i got another estimate...to the place we usually go to....he quoted me 1300 bucks...i told him i had another estimate and that it whooped his...so he said he would do it for his price...and best yet, as soon as i said green backs he went down to 700 bucks. Makes me feel so much better. My screen front grill is wrecked but i kinda like the look with out it better.

I wonder what the FX2 grill with my chrome surround would look like if i painted the grill red to match? any ideas?
