Replacing interior carpet

I'm thinking about replacing the carpet in my 04 ext cab. The carpet now is the tan color, along with the tan premium cloth seats. I was curious about any experiences anyone has had with buying the premolded carpets. I was thinking about buying some black carpet. they offer an 800 thread count carpet or something like a 1200 thread count. What do you guys think?

I think the higher the thread count the better.

I guess it is kind of like sheets the higher the count the more desirable.

I have replaced my entire carpet in my truck so if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM or whatever.....I have a how to on taking apart the center console for removal in my gallery, as well as pics with all carpet removed. I got a complete moulded oem black carpet from ford for less than $400. I had to replace it because I spilled battery acid on it so I got an OEM replacement.
