Step Bars Line-X'd

I just dropped off my factory chrome step bars to be Line-X'd. I didn't like how easily the chrome scratched just from regular use, plus I want my step bars to match my black bull bar. They said it'll be $150 including prep work.

Hopefully I'll have them back later today and I'll post some pictures.

I got my grill guard Line-xed, along with my bed. I had them add the Line-x Xtra gloss top coat too. It looks nice. I wanted to get my black plastic liners on my wheel well and the plastic bed caps done, but they told me Line-X does not stick to plastic well and it would just peel off. I have some pics in my Gallery, but they don't show how nice the Line-x really looks. The gloss is awesome too, I had a buddy get his bed done with Rhino the same time I did mine and his looks old an worn already. It is all faded, mine still looks new, just with some scratches in it (In the bed, not the Grill Guard). I have thought about doing my step bars too, but was not a priority at the moment. Maybe later on.

Waiting for some pictures...

I've got the OEM chrome step bars and was thinking about trying to either sell them or trade them off so I could get a set of black ones to go with the black bull bar I plan on getting. Hopefully these will turn out good looking that way I can just line-x them and be done with it like yours.

They never called me today to pick them up so apparently they didn't get to them yet...

Hopefully tomorrow.

I'm very interested to see how this looks. My truck is silver and the chrome step bars don't look like much against the silver. I've been thinking the same thing as FX4_Guy.

I refinished my step bars myself with herculiner. Cost me $60 and a day's work (sanding and removing rust mainly). They turned out pretty cool, I like 'em.

Pictures...

Here are the pictures. I am very impressed with the way they turned out...better than I thought. They don't sparkle like the pictures make them seem. They look great in person.
