Ditto.

I mean hell what about liability issues?

Who is goin to take it up the ying-yang when something goes wrong? At least with a stock vehicle the dealership has the auto manufacturers backing them up if any and we all know dealerships have deep pockets and so do automotive manufacturers.

It wouldn't work......

If you purchased the trucks from a dealer, They would not be eligible for any incentives (Rebates, Lower interest rates, Warranty extensions, etc) The idea is a good one, I work for a Ford dealer in Michigan and I have been lifting trucks...New and used and not jacked the prices up at all, I look at it as a attention getter, a niche if you will! If my average profit margin on a truck is say $1000, then I dress the truck up and sell it for a good price that still nets me $1000, The public isn't stupid, They know (most know) the approximate costs of lifts, wheels/tires etc and it wouldn't take long to ruin a reputation by gouging someone. I have grown up around trucks and have always loved them, I have 10 or 20 custom trucks on my lot at any given time and we also just added the Roush lineup to our arsenal and we are VERY excited about that. Anyway, I am not trying to talk you out of it, But from a dealers point of view, It would be VERY difficult not to mention that local dealers would not honor any type of warranty if one of your lifts had an issue...And they do from time to time. If you would like to correspond on the matter, My email address is JSTANFORD@STANFORDAUTO.COM and our website is LESSTANFORDFORD.COM

We also have a TON of take-off parts I have posted in the classifieds (wheels, tires, suspension, grilles, flares, shocks, arm s,springs,leafs...etc)

Thanks for looking out for the public, Yes some dealers are out to make a killing on these trucks but I would rather sell 10 at $1000 profit than 1 at $10,000 profit. It's all a numbers game.
