You know how older trucks had the shift pattern painted (white) on the transfer case shifter ****? I'd like to do that to mine... Has anyone done it, and if so what's the best way to get the paint in the embossed pattern without also getting it everywhere else?

 

Chapstick would seem like a good idea. Chapstick, then use a brush to fill the inside, wipe off excess chapstick. Or you could use a super fine brush and detail it w/o chapstick.
