Should I cut my cats?

Like the title says, should I cut my cats? Not all of them, just the rear 2. The only thing that am worried about is if I will develop any drone by cutting them out.

I have found a shop that will bend up the pipe for me, they will not cut the cats out, I have to do that and I have to install the pipe. But once I get the pipe installed they said that they will weld it up for me. All of the other exhaust shops that I have talked with will not even touch it or look at it since it involved the cats.

So what do you think, cut them, yes or no?? Remember the thing that I am most worried about it drone, since I have none now and like it that way. But I also want a louder exhaust.....

straight pipes is just as loud as gutting the cats with a muffler or atleast i would say it is. the problem with gutting them is you will pop up tons of codes probley from the flow of air.. i belive i was told anything from the cats back on this year truck your safe but if you gut them your engine might automatically shut off after start up (or so i was told)

No. Why bother? You're going to get a total of maybe 15HP & make your truck illegal.

KC-10 FE out...

I had mine cut out and it sounds 10x better, not to mention it made the truck run a little better too.

If you just want a louder exhaust, I'd suggest just cutting the muffler off and welding a pipe in it's place.

It would sound like *** though, you need some kind of muffler to give it a nicer sound. My truck still has the deep rumble from the Roush Off Road muffler, all cuttin the cats did was increase the volume of the Roush and made the truck run better as well.
