leveling kit

I know that people here have discussed whether it was worth putting a 2.5'' front leveling kit to level the truck. I know that many people took them off for certain reasons, i was wondering if it was worth it to get one for my truck? Are there any issues with them?

Thumbs up Leveling

I just put the Top Gun Customz 2.5" on my 2006 SCREW last Saturday. I know many on the site have used a different one. Functionally, I guess it doesn't do anything, except give you better ground clearance. From a looks standpoint it's one the best and inexpensive additions you can do to your truck. Whichever kit you choose I think it's a good thing to do.

I'll get pics on here....If I can ever get the truck clean for more than 8 hours!!!!!!

Just do it and don't look back. you will be more than happy. The 2.5" might raise the front end up a little to much though. If it does you can always put a add-a-leaf in the back. I have a skyjacker aal and it raised the back up 2 inches. If you don't want to do that, I would go with the 2".

but many people here have taken theres off for many reasons, did it make the truck handle worse or was it wearing out things. Thanks for all your input, If i did raise the front 2'' would the top clearance change also 2'' or less, i ask this because when i go to the galleria they have underground parking and my truck barely makes it in there at stock height and tires

Yep, or even just add the lift shackle in place of an AAL to keep the same ride quality.

Trust me, you'll be happy you did the lift in the fist place.

I got the 2 inch AS level kit and I am very happy with it. The local alignment shop required $100 total for the install of the kit and the alignment.

Makes the truck look a LOT better than the factory rake.

I have the autospring 2.5 on my 04 F150. Its been on there for 25K worry free miles. no problems with this leveling kit. I have been in and out of the parking structure at the Galleria many times. The antenna catches on the lowest hanging pipes but nothing has caught the roof. Thats on stock rims and tires. However I recently upgraded to 33" rubber so I wont be going into the parking garage anymore. cant take that chance.
