is this contract different from the bumper-to-bumper warranty?

sorry for being ignorant but just wanted to make sure what this is exactly. i just remembered i had this when i purchased the truck. i know it's a service contract and understand how it works. since i have this, do i need to purchase the ESP that ive been getting in the mail from ford? thx!

That is NOT the Ford factory extended warranty. That is an aftermarket one sold by that particular dealer. Normally they don't cover near as much as Ford's ESP (especially the Premium Care) plan. Personally I would go back to the dealer and cancel it and get the refund and apply it towards Ford's extended warranty.

I work at honeywell and they offered all employess a contract that works as well if not better than the ford. I really don't like to take things back to the dealership for work, well my contract lets me take it to any certified mechanic for repairs. I go the platinum package with the 100 dollar deductable. Not a deductable per part replaced but for the whole shop visit. They even gave us a list of things to ask each co. before buying there contract. I hope i will not have to use it but i would much rather work on older mustangs than to have to work on this thing. good luck
