That video was awesome!!
I have to say it did make me a little sick though. All I could think of was about 4 months ago when I got stuck by a new development in WV.
It was a Friday after work and I was actually coming out of the woods to go home but I took the wrong road that was just leveled by a bulldozer (so it looked OK to me). Wrong move!! It was like quick sand mud. The whole truck sank solid up to the running boards. Obviously I was pretty pi$$ed, so I called a buddy who has a Ram 2500 and I figured he would pull me right out, but he couldn't budge me (not a damn inch). Now I was starting to freak. I figured I'll call a tow truck in the morning and he'd pull me out. Well the next morning the GD F-550 flatbed with a 10,000lbs not only couldn't pull me out but he got himself stuck and they had to get another truck to pull him out. They said my truck only bound up the winch so they couldn't help me. Now I was shi%^ing and thought I would never get the truck out.
Well as they were driving me out we noticed a few excavators. So I had to leave the truck knee deep in mud for the weekend (hoping nobody would see it and trash it, God knows they couldn't steal it!!). So 6:00am on Monday morning I drive my wife's Honda minivan up to the development to wait for the guys to arrive. After I told them my 17 year old brother-in-law got the truck stuck (I couldn't tell them it was me!, they weren't laughing, they were saying the truck looked pretty fu%^ed; which made me feel great!) they said they pull me out. They got the big excavator and hooked a strap to the trailer hitch; they lifted up the back of the truck about 6 feet (to break the suction) and dragged the truck back.
The butterflies finally left my gut for the first time Fri until I tried to but the truck in reverse and nothing happened (as if it were in N), needless to say the butterflies returned in a hurry. It seems by trying to get out of the mud on Fri night and Sat morning coupled with the tranny being submerged in mud I burnt up the tranny.
The truck only had 22,000 miles on it and was still under warranty so I drove home (drive still barely worked) and after 5 hours with a pressure washer (no kidding, it was on there like concrete) it was cleaner that when it left the factory. Knowing this could probably be a $5,000 wash if I didn't get all the mud off makes you fairly ****. So I called the dealer and told them I started the truck this morning and the reverse wouldn't work. That day they told me the tranny was screwed and I needed a new one (remember I had a 4" Rancho and 35" BFG MT's on my newly scratched to hell FX4 rims at the time so I didn't know if they were even going to cover the tranny!!!)
Anyways REALLY long story short, they replaced the tranny under warranty (after 3 weeks!, but I wasn't going to complain), and never mentioned any offroading.
Moral of the story, if you go offroading in WV, bring an excavator with you!!!!!!!

I guess we can just derail this thread and use this as a offroad story telling thread.
I already told you guys about how I almost flipped my beige beast, 2004 F-150, by accident of course. Hell, I wasn't even trying to do anything but park at the party spot when I fell into a hole. But heres a not so bad story but still pretty damn funny. I live on five acres and we've got a burn pile. We've built a berm around for safety of course but it's pretty fun to climb up on and get some articulation going. I have no clue why but one side of the damn thing is like quick sand. I was playing on this side trying to climb it in my previous F-150. I was in 4Hi and bam it burried down. I put it into 4LO and tried reverse of course, nothing. Just got deeper until the front was burried as well as the back. No one was home and I wasn't about to call a friend to pull my truck from my own yard. Luckily my dad's F-250 was home and I've got a key to it. I put my truck into neutral and back into 2WD, hooked up and gave it a few good snatches. I managed to get it out but afterwards I was just laughing to myself about how funny that must of looked if anyone saw me.

I have a mac, so it's a little hard to get some of the things that you guys can see
. I can't get the videos on this computer but judging by the pictures, it looks like a lot of fun. Like said before though, have fun cleaning that truck!

Hey Thump don't feel so bad.
A few months ago I got stuck at my work with my fiancee ridin shotgun on our way to lunch after leaving church one Sunday. I used to be a golf course superintendent. My shop sat on a bayou that ran through the golf course. Well almost every day when i left work I would drive down to the bottom of the bayou where it is flat and then drive back up the bank of the bayou to get back to the road. Well one Sunday after church (still dressed for church) I had to go back to my shop to adjust the irrigation system before we went to lunch. I decided to show off for my girl how I can drive through the bayou. Well I decided to take a brave route through it and try to go where a 4 foot galvanized steel drains into the bayou. Well i got about 6 inches in maybe when the front of my truck fell into the hole and left the rear of my truck sticking up in the air with my girl freaking out. Luckily I have tractors and chains at my shop. But I felt like an idiot when people started to pull over to see if we were all right. I had to pull it out with a front end loader by myself while my fiancee (in her nice dress) stared at me like she wanted me dead. I have pictures if anyone wants to tell me how to post em.
