anyone here running bfg 35" muds for daily driving??
anyone here running bfg 35" muds for daily driving??
i know they are meant for offroad according to the description but idk what other 35's i can fit on stock rims? how long do these last mileage wise...thanks
i ran 33" toyo mt's and am now running 35" procomp xterrains without problems on stock. when these 35's run out, i'll put 35" terra grapplers, bfg at ko's or 35" toyo mts on stock. other than a little low end acceleration loss due to the increased weight and rolling resistance, and the foreseeable loss in mpg there are no issues to running a larger tire-
I run my 35's BFG for daily driver. Altough I am happy with them so to speak I have had a shimmy at 55-65mph finally got them road force balanced and they told me the rear left is way out of round. They might be blowing me full of smoke I dont know. Im gonna try to get a new for the rear but I doubt its gonna be easy.
I'm running 37x13.50x20 Nitto Mud Grapplers on my daily driver, whats the big deal? If you want a long lasting tire than stick with BFG Mud Terrains or BFG All Terrains.
STS's don't count as Super Swampers!

I am currently running 35" BFG Muds on my stock wheels (pics in gallery) as I also did last winter. I do take mine off in the summer in favor of my 35" Nittos on 22's, but I usually put about 10K miles per year on the BFG's. So far no complaints with them as daily driver tires other than being a little loud, but my exhaust and intake and audophile system drowns them out pretty easily! I did notice a little drop in mileage, but I will be regearing to 4.56's soon to take care of that.
As far as vibration at speed, mine are as smooth as glass on the highway. I've had them as fast as 120 (whoops!) for short distance with no problems with vibration.
