30k service

I was just reading this thread https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=270144 and was going to post this question in there but I wanted to make sure my question gets answered although it relates to some of the things going on in that thread. I just called my Ford dealer to get a quote for my 30k mile service. He went through all the things they do (full checkup, oil filter and fluids, tranny flush, brake system flush, etc. etc.) and then told me the price. $369 for the service. I then called three other places. One interesting tidbit that one dealer said was that the newer vehicles dont need the full treatment at 30k anymore because of the types of oils and lubricants they now use are that much better than in the past so changing isn't as frequent. The other two dealers said the same thing as the first one but they had prices damn near $500. Is the $369 a reasonable price for a 30k mile checkup and is there anything else I should be doing for my truck at this time. Thanks for the help.

My dealer has Factory required Service-249.95, Dealer Recommended Service-614.95 and dealer Premium Service-840.95. Unless you are hard on your truck, the basic service is all that is really necessary. Since I change my own air filter and fuel filter (saves a bunch), when I went in for an oil change and tire rotation, at around 30,000, I had them service the tranny which is dropping the pan, changing the filter and replacing about 6 qts. I had coupons for the services, oil change was 19.95, roration 9.95, tranny service 82.95. I still don't think the tranny service is necessary, but I gave in anyhow, as i may decide to keep this truck a long time. I drive about 25,000 miles a year and have 41,000 on it now. Hope this helps in some way.

Plus some new tires an extra $1,000

Did they flush the tranny or just drain fluid and change filter?
