Resetting door keypad entry code
Resetting door keypad entry code
All- is it possible to reset the keyless entry code on the driver's door? I was able to look up in my owner's manual how to do it if I have the old code, but I don't have it.
I bought the truck used from a dealer who bought it at auction; so there is no way for me to try to track it back to the previous owner to get the original code.
Any ideas??
TIA

If you have a scab or screw cab there is a module behind the back seat on the back wall of the cab on the drivers side with a sticker on it that has the original door code you need, you just need to get the rear seat back out and look under the interior panel.
Take it to a dealer and ask them to plug it into the IDS. They can find it that way. Some charge to do it but most will do it for free if you arent a **** and ask nice.
I have done it free a couple times. Take a hot girl with you to ask for you.
P.S. Something most people dont realize is that even after you program in your own code, the factory code will ALWAYS still work, programing it just adds another code on top of the factory. so make sure you are the only one that knows it.
