Well, I am taking her in today!
Just called my dealer and I am dropping off the truck for service this afternoon. I have been putting it off but it had to be done. I mentioned that my power windows are not working good and one or two have stopped all together. I also have a strange noise upon take off that I want them to check (maybe just the brakes). When I get there I am going to have them listen to it and see if the (what I call) rough idle is normal. I have an extended warranty so hopefully I can get these things taken care of without too much aggravation. I will let ya'll know how it goes. Anyone have any idea if they will work on it tomorrow if I leave it this evening around 4:30 (1st timer with a dealership)?

Yea my truck had the same problem, the front passanger window would not go back up. It was a faulty switch, costed around $80 for a new switch. And now my driver's side one is not working wtf. If you drop it off at 430, i highly doubt they will look at it til tomorow
That strange noise you hear upon take off is probably the drive shaft. I also thought it was just the brakes sticking. Had to have my truck at the dealer for 3 days while they ordered the drive shaft. Only 22,000 miles on the '04 when I brought it in 2 months ago for that problem. No big deal, my old '89 F150, with 230,000 on it, is my daily driver anyway.
The rough idling is also a problem with my truck. I had them check that at the same time. They said that it is idling rough, but within Fords' specs. I do not get this. I sit at a light and watch the tach jump up and down, how is this within specs. I fought with them about this and filled out the survey that gets sent out with each trip to the dealer, but did not get anywhere.
I also had a brake caliper piston in the rear split and spray fluid everywhere, the main reason I brought it in. Parking brake was not left on. The thing stuck all the way home that caused the rotor to be almost red hot and was smokin' from the brake fluid on it. I asked them to replace rotor and axle seal since everything got so hot, but they would not, Ford told them they would not cover it. I had road side assistance come pick it up and tow it to the dealer when I saw fluid everywhere and the rim. Now the truck has only 24,000 on it and has more little annoying issues, but I will wait until my warranty is almost up to bring it in again, since it is such a pain to bring it in. Has anyone else had a problem with caliper pistons splitting?
