Getting an F150...what color?

Well, I'm pretty much getting an F150. My friend who is a local car dealer is looking for an 04 or newer with the lariat package, tan interior and moonroof. Today I get a call me from his father (the owner) who is calling me from the auction. This is an off lease auction. Problem is the only colors there right now are Black and Green. The two colors I wanted least. I love Black but I'm too lazy to clean weekly. The green I'm not sold on. I think it's a nice looking color, just not sure on it.

Gahd, I hate pressure. Why couldn't they have a white one.

If you got Pueblo Gold it would tie in to your screen name. But I think Brew is right, black rocks. Far more than green

Guess I'm partial to SmokeStone Only problem is that it was only offered in 2006 for the F150, and only on the Lariat, oh and it wasn't one of the two colors at the auction. It shimmers silver at night!

The smoke stone is really nice as well. Thats similar to my current trucks color. Easy to keep clean. Black on the other hand looks best when clean IMO, but quickly looks bad.

What do you mean quickly? It took me at least 2 hours to get it to look like this

And then about 4 hours to get it to this

I always wanted black and never thought I would do it. To be honest, I love it and it's really not as much work as I thought. Granted, my truck is no where near how I want it to look, but come spring time, I will be doing a major detail to it so it shines like no other. ( gosh I hope RP doesn't see this ) I think as long as you start off with a clean truck and keep up on it, it will look fine.

I was in your situation, wanted blue, white or silver. My only choices were black and stone with the options I wanted. I was always against black but I picked black and now love it.

Black is sharp, there's no denying that. You guys have me thinking... I've owned darker colors in the past (black and silver)

Then my passenger got scared when we were wheeling.

You guys got me thinking. I'm ruling green right out. Reminds me of a 1994 camry with the gold package. LOL

I say go any color but Red 'not that many cool Red ones around' which is a good thing, I like to be different . White would look good, with a few little mods. And stay away from the 2 tone... unless ya like that look. But, if all ya have to choose from is Black or Green. I agree, Go Black

I don't mind the two tone, I actually like it. I'd got with Maroon. I like that color. But thats about as red as I would go. Only mod that will come right away is tinted windows, my parrot bluetooth installed, and possibly an Ipod connection. I'm not sure if there is a way to wire into the truck quite yet.

That's cuz people look at the yellow trucks and think "Why would you get a truck in Bananna"

...Just playin... to each his own.

I would go black, yes they are hard to keep clean, but after you do clean it, it looks sooooo sweet!!!
