tire change

I am replacing the stock 255/70/17's on my 2005 F150 ext cab 4X4 with 265/70/17's. The dealer tells me there is no need to reprogram the computer for speedo and ABS with this subtle of a change. Have any of you experienced the same?

there will be a .55in diffrence in over all height. if ur speedo says 65 u will actully be going 66.15, according to discount tire calculator. not a big deal but you can change it with a tuner if you want to be exact.

Are you sure your original tires were 255/70? Mine were 255/65 and it was about a 5% difference. I changed my speedometer with my Edge. If you do have 70s, it won't be that much of a change as stated above.
