Code Alarm CA 680- Alarm going off instead of Remote Starting!

Hello,

I have a CA 680 I put in my 2005 F150. I was trying to remote start it this morning (it was 9 deg F outside) and the alarm would go off instead. This happened a bunch of times before i gave up and started it manually so I'd stop waking up my wife and the neighbors.

Could it be because of the cold? Too much battery voltage drop during cranking? Is there a setting that would fix this?

Don't know the fix for it but mine (ford gold) does the same at - 13C or below. The dealer installer has not been able to figure it out so I disable the alarm when it is that cold - bummer i know. Let me know if you find a fix. I too suspect too much draw on the first crank. Mine always starts without the alarm on the second crank.

It's just a low battery. Mine does that when it's been REALLY cold. Let me know to upgrade the battery. I run a SVR sealed battery. Never lets me down.
