Lease End - Purchase Options

Is it possible to haggle the purchase price at the end of a lease?
Gross Capital Cost $26,353
Total of Payments $10,238
Purchase Option $19,362

Is it just me or does this not add up?

Also, don't forget that if you do buy if for 19K there will also be finance charges involved. Looks like you will be close to square one again. I'd buy a new one outright and haggle a price from there with rebates. Good luck.

You paid interest also. That would be why your purchase is $19,xxx instead of $16,xxx.

But yes, it is possible to negotiate a price to buy out your lease.

Thanks for the glimmer of hope. I just hope to talk them down a bit. It only has 22k on it after 2yrs so I don't think they will want it to go to auction.
