The starter is fine and running like a champ, but it takes a ton of time to crank over now. There is definitely something wrong what might it be? Once it's running it's great.
Hmm... is it possibly the cylinoid? or maybe your altenator is going bad not allowing the battery to get a full charge? A good way to eliminate starter and cylinoid part is to hook your truck up to another vehicle with jumper cables and start and if it starts right up, you know it is neither of those two, and it can only be your battery or your altanator.

Well if it were the battery it would have trouble cranking. The engine cranks and tries and tries to turn over, the starter is trying its best as well. It's something with the engine not being able to "kick up" and start. It's turning over fine, no battery or starter problem that I am able to sense.
Is this happening all the time or just after brief stops. I guess what I'm getting at is my truck after stopping to refuel or run into Walmart has trouble starting after it's been sitting for a few minutes. Never had a problem with it after it's been sitting for a few hours.

It sounds like the check valve that is supposed to hold fuel pressure is no longer holding pressure. The way it works is after you shut down the vehicle this valve blocks the fuel from returning to the tank and keeps pressure in the lines. This way when you go to start the vehicle the fuel rail is primed and it fires right up. If the pressure is bleeding down then it will take a while to prime the fuel rail and you will expierience long cranking times. Best way to check for this is to hook up a fuel pressure gauge. Let it run for a couple minutes at idle. Shut down the motor and watch the gauge. If the pressure drops this is your issue. I beleive the check valve is either in the fuel pump or the pressure regulator but I'm not sure. This can also be caused by a fuel injector that is not closing tightly and is bleeding down pressure. Hope this helps.
