The exchange program is generally 50-60% cheaper than brand new. Worth a try.

bah i just ordered a new one......... easier and ill have all my wheels again and not a spare

Warranty doesn't cover abuse. If it did, I would turn my wrecked truck into warranty. .

I cracked the wheel on my brand new F-150 last weekend when I hit a rock while hunting in the badlands of North Dakota. It was the second flat tire in two days. The first flat tire was desroyed, so I had to waste half a day looking for a 255/70/17 in ****inson, ND. The tire dealers and Ford dealer told me I would have to wait 1-2 weeks for such an obscure tire size, so I bought a 265/70/17 to put on my spare.

Ford charges $325 extra for the larger all-terrain tires, and I am extremely disappointed with their performance. I really don't understand why Ford would put a 4-ply passenger car tire on a 4x4 pick-up with a tow package.

The cracked wheel was shipped to an outfit in Minneapolis, MN that repairs bent or broken aluminum wheels. It should look like new when I get it back next week, and they quoted me $134.

I had a set of Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor in 265/70/17 installed today. They are a load range E with 10 plys; the oil field guys and the sheriff vehicles around ****inson have had very good luck with this tire.
