What a complete LOAD! LOFL! This has to be one of the most ridiculous eBay adds I have ever seen. Yeah, it’s fooling the Idle Air Temperature probe to think the air temp is cooler than it really is, thereby causing the ECM to increase the pulse width to the injectors, effectively increasing the amount of fuel going to the motor.

What they fail to tell you is your fuel economy will take a nose dive, your 100,000 mile plugs will foul out and that this simple carbon-film resistor cost about 12 cents! They’re charging you $10 (7 for the resistor and 3 to ship) for a 12 cent component.

WEAK!

 

Naturally this guy is praying on those who have no mechanical nor electrical background. Too bad there isn’t a law for an azz hole like this.

 

i believe the phrase was ---if you are going to take a chance with a 30,000 dollar truck with a 30.00 chip then there is a problem.

 

And if you thought it was ludicrous to put a $30 chip in a $30K+ vehicle, just think what a 12 cent resistor should net ya….

The theory behind what it does and how it accomplishes this is extremely simple, but it's also a very bad idea.
