What to do.??..What to do.....??!

Here is the deal, I love my 04 F-150, it only has 20,000 miles on her and 2 more years and its paid off.
Problem #1 - We do alot of dirt bike riding in the desert, and take our 34' motorhome. More often than not we bog down in the soft sand/dirt, get stuck and have our friend who normally goes with us (Chevy 4 X 4) pull us out. It is simple fast and I bought a tow strap just for that.
So I go to Ford parts dept this morning to get a part for my son's Ranger and when I come back i make a joke to my wife..."Hey, while I was there I traded in my truck for a 4X4". She then says...."thats a good idea, that way we can go riding and not have to worry about relying on someone else to pull us out" (son would drive the truck to the desert when we go), I fell out of my chair and hit my head on the floor, after my head cleared here is my quandry;
The angel on my right shoulder is telling me "No...don't do it" only 2 more years and you save 400.00 per month!
The devil on my left shoulder is telling me "Do it Dood, BFD if you start your payments over again, you know you want it".
HELP!!!!!

I did it over again. I had a paid for 02 PSD XLT. Problem was that it was ext cab and not crew and 2wd. I really wanted a crew and a 4wd now that I have a child. I wanted the crew when I bought and the idea of 4x4 grew on me. I sold PSD and looked for over 3 months for the exact used truck I wanted (wanted a 7.3). After giving up I bought this 150, which is everything I wanted in the 250 except the diesel. I really like it. I am not in a financial crisis, so it was worth it.

I wish I could have taken my linex bedliner with me and should have taken my break controller too. I got a good price for the PSD and for the new 150 I bought. I really do want to hold on to this truck for a while to I can stop throwing money out the window.

Tough call, as long as its something you really want then its worth paying for. You would just spend the money elsewhere. Atleast thats how i look at it

how heavy is your 34' and how does your f150 do towing it back from the desert?

If your going to do it all over again you might want to look into a diesel..

I don't tow it all the way back home, there are some soft spots on slight inclines on the way out of the desert that i get bogged down in. I just need a few tugs to get out of them.

Made up my mind, kept the truck and bought this instead.

You definitely took the less expensive route.

Do some mods, so your truck doesn't get stuck, and could tow the trailer better. Some better tires, lockers, gears? Would be alot cheaper than a new truck.
