I have 20,000 miles and still have the original rear brakes. (2004 Lariat)

Mine were getting low by 16k miles so I went ahead and changed them with Porterfield pads. I already put Porterfield pads on the front at 500 miles to get rid of the brake dust, and after 23k miles now, I still have half the front pad left.

My dad's XLT rear brakes also wore out by 20k miles. I think it's the EBD (electronic brake distribution) system on these new trucks, it makes the rear brakes work more under certain braking situations.
