quick question and i heard it all before but i just want to make sure before i waste my money i have a 2004 f150 supercrew 4x4 i want to keep my stock rims im sending to the shop next week im getting a 2.5" leveling kit and i want to know if a 305/70/17(basically a 34") would fit without any rubs and if these would be safe on my stock rims cause i really want these tires its the maxxis buckshot mudders i got a really good deal at $90 thats right $90 a tire but at only that size cause they are overstocked for these tires and i want to make sure i wont have any problems fiting these with rub wise........thanks in advance

and another quick question is it possible to put a .5" or 1" wheel spacer to prevent rub on springs

It should work, don't know if it will rub or not. Other members have put 35's on stock wheels and got away with it.

 

Yes, they will fit on your stock rims just fine. You MIGHT have a small rub at full lock. I wouldn't do a spacer. To much stress on the bearing and such. Please post back when you get them. This is the exact tire I'm considering. Where did you get them that cheap? I may get some now instead of waiting.

 

i got them at a local truck shop here in mass called baystate truck and caps......any idea how good these tires are....and i was a litle iffy about the spacers anyway i know the stress they cause but i was just wondering if anybody tried it to prevent rub so thats a yes the 305/70/17 would fit on the stock rim cause these are just bad @ss tires...i guess a slight rub at full lock isnt to bad i know somepeople are fitting 35's but i dont want to push it cause probally sometime next year im going ith the 8" rize kit with some 37's

 

or would 33" be a little safer but its kinda hard to pass up these tires at this price

 

go for it man I love my 35's on stock wheels. I do have slight rub at full lock though no big deal. I dont regret it a bit

 

nice truck thats my exact truck sam color and all well except i have chrome grill and its a 04 and the 305's are 33.9" so the rub shouldnt be too bad.....what size are 35's or close to it 315's or 325's

the 35's do look bad @ss you got me thinking now but i want to avoid bad rub just how bad does it rub?

black areas are rubs- agreed with hivoltage14.4- looks great, and the rub is minor enough to deal with!

Doesnt rub at all under normal driving conditions. I love the setup you wont regret it. I have the 2.5" AS. Just get you a Edge or Xcal2 along with these tires you will be set!

 

swet deal guys and from the pics that rub isnt **** actually helps keep it clean...lol ok im sold now looking for a set of 35's.......now the auto spring setup is that poly or aluminum and which one is better and also hows the wear on the arms it dont flex them to much and cause problems ? and now hat size 35 should i get and what are 35's are they 315/70/17 or 325/70/17

and also can i get away with a 2" leveling kit and still fit the 35'5 cause the 2.5" makes the front look a bit higher than the rear or are my eyes deceiving me again

and also i dont have a fx4 its just an xlt does that matter?

 

The Buckshot's are some good tires. A friend has some on his Chevy in 33". He's had them 40-45k. I'm sold on them for MT's. Those tires would normally run around $550 a set here. I would ****** them up in a heartbeat.

I would get the metal spacer. Some trucks sit a little nose high with a 2.5", some don't.

probally a few hundred since the buckshot is a heavy tire no idea i dont know the weight of each tire but they are one of the heavy tires out there other than swampers
