That would be more simple than what I brought up. I did not know that they had such a device in existance. I may even have one in junk pile. I'll have to pull it out to see what it does. It is a 2 inch long rectangular can with 3 terminals and no markings on it.

Out here, most of our companies run twin Mars 888s (either side of the cab, just below the windshield) and a roto-ray in the center. Definately gets your attention!

And i agree wholeheartedly about the muting of radios until an emergency vehicle passes.

I read somewhere that they are starting to experiment with adding more bass to the sirens on emergency vehicles to try to capture more attention from drivers.
