brighter fog lights?

Does anyone know where I can find a higher power, preferably yellow, bulb for the fog lights? I live near the water and when the thick fog rolls in these 40 watters don't seem to make any difference.

I did check piaa's website but they don't seem to carry anything for a 2006

Go to your local Auto Zone or Discount Auto Parts store and pick up some Sylvania Silverstars. They are available for both headlights and fog lights.

From what I have heard, they are excellent bright white lights, and are a huge improvement. Many people have said that getting the fog lights make the biggest difference. I plan on getting some in the next week or so.

Thanks, I had thought about the silverstars but in my experiance it just seems that the brighter and whiter a light is the more it reflects in the fog, snow, and even rain. I've used the PIAA ion crystals before with much better visibility then with a bright white aor blue bulb.

I was kinda hoping someone might know of a way to make an ion crystal bulb fit?

See my last post on this thread. I did find some yellow 9145s. Don't know how well they will work, but I believe they are 55 watt.

Thanks for the info! I read up on them a little bit and they are supposed one of the best. I guess I'll find out though since I just ordered a pair straight from luminics website:

I'll take some pics and let everyone know how they turned out when they come in.

FYI: I forgot to mention this earlier but this company has 2 different versions of these lights, 42w (130w output) and 55w (150w output). Of course I bought the 55 watters but I wanted to let people know because it seems a lot of the companies selling these are only selling the 42w. Thats one of the reasons I bought them staight from the website. They were also slightly cheaper.

Only thing you are going to have to be carefull about is if the new bulbs are of a higher wattage than OE, they 'can' cause problems. Some have had the lens melt, some have had the wiring harness melt, and some have had no problem.
