Question Truck Error Message? Cold?

STARTED TRUCK LAST NIGHT AND LET IT RUN FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING OFF. ABOUT TWO MINUTES LATER, MY OVERDRIVE ON/OFF LIGHT STARTED TO FLASH AND IN MY MESSAGE CENTER AREA WAS "TRANS FAULT". TRUCK RAN FINE, I TURNED OFF ENGINE AND STARTED IT BACK UP EVERYTHING WAS FINE. ANY IDEAS? IT WAS COLD AND SNOWY AND THE TRUCK HADN'T BEEN STARTED FOR A FEW DAYS.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

You may want to retitle this thread. Sounded like a forum board problem or Edge error.

I suspect you had water, moisture on a contact and had a 'glitch'. If it returns I would worry, if it doesn't I would forget about it.

Best of luck
Chris

Same thing happened to me while going WOT @ 115mph, I posted a thread. I just remembered the O/D light bounced on and off as well.

I know that if the OD light starts to flash then there is something wrong with the tranny. Our expedition did it once and we had to take it to have it looked at but i don't remember what was wrong with it.
