IMCO muffler

Hey guys...i keep wanting to make my magnaflow louder. Would you recommend me swapping out the maggie muffler for the imco? How loud is it and how does it compare to magnaflow? thanks
Im just afraid of cutting off the rear cats...had too much trouble passing imspection with my edge.

I have IMCO's hotrod muffler SI/SO under my truck. The muffler shop that installed it said that it would be louder than same size Magnaflow. Mine does sound very nice, a couple of my buddies thought that it sounded like a Mustang. But I just don't think that it is loud enough, so i am going to have the 2 rear cats removed and run duals with the same mufflers and out behind the rear wheels with 4X18 or 22" tips.

I can't compair my IMCO to the Maggie since I have never had one, I can only go by what the guys at the muffler shop told me.

For one, don't ever try to pass inspection with you edge again, what where you thinking. Return it back to stock and take it off. Second if you want extemely loud go the the IMCO Extreme series muffler had it on my truck it is real close to having straight pipes. Trust me this sucker is the loudest you can get until you completely remove the muffler or any cats!

I had the one chanber IMCO extreme muffler on my truck, and decided to go to the Magnaflow system. It really depends what sound you are going for. I wanted something louder than my MAC, so I went with the IMCO with a 4.5" tip, but it was just loud and that's all. It didn't really have a great tone out of it that I liked, just loud. So I went to the Magnaflow 16614 duals and it's perfect. I was set against Magnaflow, coming from several mustangs where Magnaflows are known as quietflows, but it seems to sound really tight, toned, and a very nice rumble when you get on it. It is tame while taking off and cruising, until it gets in the 3000 rpm range, then it opens up well, not to mention all stainless. Overall I am much happier with the Magnaflow on the 5.4.
