Nut Sizes for Rear Shackle Install

I am getting ready to tackle the installation of my Ground Force shackles and I need to know what size the nuts are for the shackle and U-bolts are. I will be doing the install this week and will have pics when done.

13/16ths sounds right. The bolt head is a different size, but the nut side of the bolt has a smaller hex extension that is 10mm. It's an easy install. Don't forget to put in the tapered shim, don't want any vibes.

18mm for the bolt, and I think 19mm for nut.

It took me 30 min to install the kit. VERY easy to do. That is, if you have mechanical abilities.

I just crawled underneath my truck to check:

U-Bolt Nuts = 21 mm
Shackle Nuts = 21 mm
Shackle Bolts = 18 mm

Good luck with your project!

Thank you guys so much.

Did you use hand tools or air? Do I need a breaker bar?

hand and only need breaker bar on the check up after 100 miles, go back and tighten everything to make sure its good and solid. If you want minimum lowering out of your shackle, tighten the nut while the axle is still suspended in the air. For maximum drop, tighten to snug then lower, shake the truck let it settle for a minute, then tighten everything down.

GOT IT DONE and I LOVE IT! I am now 1" higher in the rear instead of 3" and the truck looks absolutely awesome IMO. It is a nice level look. I also got the more comfortable seating position and I was hoping and praying for. I did go ahead and install the pinion shims just cause I already had the back jacked off the ground. I have absolutely no vibration from 0-110mph. Thanks to all that helped me with my ?'s along the way!

PS: Pics to come as soon as I get it washed up.
