How to dissassemble front console?

I have a major squeek coming from either behind the glove box, the center console or the passanger seat. I cannot narrow it down.

With the truck running, sometimes I will hear it and sometimes not. Of course I hear it while driving but cannot get to it. I popped the glove box all the way open and could not locate it. It almost soulds like it is coming from below/behind the Filter behind the glove box.

Any thoughts?

Hmm... try the rubber hose method. Have someone else drive and using a short peice of hose put one end up to your ear and probe around with the other end. That should help point you at the sqeak.

the center console, around the cd player and air condition controls, use a plastic **** or something that wont scratch the plastic of the interior, use it to pop the clips around the radio and such, then u will be able to see alot of behind th dash

the glove box, u can push in on the sides of the glove box and it will let u fully drop the glove box to see behind it

i had this annoying squeek too... i had my dash all ripped apart... still couldnt find it. then i opened the hood and look around, turns out it was a rubber hose with a metal clip that came unhooked after i installed my airaid intake. the metal clip was rubbing on the metal part right above the intake (kinda under the wipers) so it sounded like it was coming from inside the cab.

maybe look there??
