My Kills....how the hell!?

Alright, i was out Friday night with the Girlfiriend and two friends. We pull up to a light with an 04+ 5.4 F150 and an 01(ish) F350 Turbo Diesel and I am in the middle.

I give the 5.4 a nod to go and my friend gives the F350 on passenger side to go.

I get ready to launch by holding the brake and giving some gas, light turns green and im off. The turbo diesel is whining like nuts and falling behind, i wasn't too shocked though. Then i look to my left to expect the 5.4 coming up to beat me, but i'm slowly pulling on him!

My two auto-enthusiast buddies are amazed at what i jsut pulled off. Then the 5.4 comes up next to me and we are even doing about 60km/h and he guns it, i step on it too and i pull up and past him.

All i have done is the magnaflow 16614. I had 4 people in my truck and i owned both the vehicles. I got HUGE props from my two friends who were amazed. (the one guy keeps saying how i should have gone with the 5.4) Guess that extra 18HP ford gave the 2007 4.6 is a nice addition .

Tried to find a 6L Chevy later to see how much faster they are, but all i found was a FWD right hand drive Toyota Soarer that worked me! Fun night though and i'm proud of my truck.

Good for you, not sure how many people will buy it but I'm sure the ones who don't do not own a 4.6. They're quite a different beast I'm sure, not quite sure why it won though.

I swear everyone tries to race me in my truck too. What were the cab configurations between the F-150s? Technically speaking the F350 with the Powerstroke should of ate you up but who cares. . Good kills.

Thanks guys, they were both screws. The 5.4 looked older than mine. It had those nice beefy stock tires. I'm guessing 04 or 05. I was VERY surprised i beat the 5.4 just from all the talk on the forums. My guess is that the extra weight in my truck made the engine work that much harder....no idea really.

Thanks for the compliments.

Haha nice! The F350 didn't even keep up with the 5.4 and I so perhaps he just gave up after the initial launch...i definitely heard him floor it though but i came out on top.

Wait...the 07 got extra HP? I want my money back! What did they change from 06 to squeeze out extra power?

Power for the 4.6-liter V8 is increased for 2007 from 231 to 248. How they did it...I dunno. Read a thread on it and no one else really came to a conclusion.

I know for a fact I only have two cats. There is one after each of the headers before the Y pipe.

Here's a crappy diagram that probably won't make sense:

Why would he be slaughterd by the PowerStroke? I've ran a powerstroke at the track and it really wasnt a race...

But I did get beat by a nissan Altima the other day... We met at the next light after we raced and he purged the lines a couple times.. I just laughed.

Yea i didn't expect the F350 Diesel to beat me. It's jsut a lot of torque, its a towing beast not a speed beast. But add a couple of modifications and they are pretty damn fast!

Exactly, my dad had a 99 powerstroke 250 supercab and I could eat him up all day stock, then he raced me in his new 04' F250 6.0L harley truck and I still wasted him, of course now its noooo comparison.

hehe. I raced one myself at stock height fully modded and I was killed, it was a brand new 3.5l, pretty well modded from the looks/sound of things. He wasn't juicin so I can't imagine how fast they are when they do.
