I have the Jensen VM9021ts and the ipod is controlled by the unit so i just ran the wire into my glovebox and just leave the i pod in there.

Although I have no pics of it, I ran my Kenwood iPod control cable behind the dash, up the A-pillar, and back across the windshield so that the iPod itself rests comfortably in the first overhead console bin.

E...

Eclipse CD5000 HU with iPod adapter. 8 gig Nano in glovebox. Works like a charm!

I'm not 100% happy with the way the controls work from the HU to the iPod. There is quite a bit of lag sometimes... because of this, it is very difficult to find one particular song in your library. (Mine is 2000+ tracks) One way to get around this is to make Playlists, but if you get many of these going, then it is hard to navigate to the playlist you want. Most of the time I end up unplugging the iPod, find the song I want, pause it, and then plug it back in to the HU.

The scrolling text also does not work, so all of your songs names only show about 9 characters.

It works though, and sounds great! If someone comes out with a HU that eliminates the lag problem. I will definitely look into it.

Ive got a Pioneer 9800BT with the IB100II iPod adaptor. I leave the iPod in the glovebox myself. This is Pioneers newer setup which is much faster with the iPod, but there is one thing that really pisses me off... When you pull up your iPod library, it does not take you to where you left off last. In other words, if I am listening to Metallica, I cant just go back to the menu and select another metallica CD. I must first go to Artist>Metallica> then the CD. Otherwise its the best ever.

No man here better admit to having a tissue box in that location. Thats what sleeves are for.
