I don't think you have torsion bars.

The AutoSpring kit is just a spacer that bolts on top of the front strut. I installed mine with a friend helping in less than 3 hours. With the kit and new tires and wheels, I think my truck actually rides and drives better. Looks 10 times better.

The Daystar kit is spacers that go on top of and below the spring so you have to disassemble the strut. Probably not as easy but doesn't sound much harder.

hehe, lol. the daystar kit i think would be recommended because its ployurethne and has some give. plus its only a 2'' so there is no spring-control arm touching. plus its easier on your ball joints. but thats not a fact everyone has their own opinon. ive heard people say they have gone thousands of miles and others like 30,000 b4 their joints crapped out on them. ur call buddy.

Actually the Daystar is 2.5" and it has the same effect on the ball joints as any other leveling kit. .

now when you say leveling is that bringing the front up to the rear or a lift all the way around. if that is the case my truck will look funny with the same wheels and tires?

I will wash mine tomorrow and post before and after pics. You can decide for yourself. I went from bone stock to 33x12.50's and new pro comp rims with the 2.5" AS leveling kit. I think it's a dramatic improvement and highly reccomend it. Even if you only get the bigger tires and the leveling kit. Well worth the money IMHO.

oops, misread your post. 285's will probably look just fine.

YES, brings the front up level with the rear. The back is not touched.

A leveling kit will do just that level the front out so that it is roughly the same height as the rear. As for looking funny with the stock (or close to stock) rim/tire combo here is a picture of mine with the stock wheels/tires (my winter set-up) and also with my aftermarket combo. I think that it looks much better with the aftermarket combo. Its not so much the height of the tire that makes the differance, since the stockers are roughly 32's and the others are 33's, but the width of the tire(stock 275 vs. 325) and width and look of the rim (stock 7.5" wide vs 9")that make the big differance, IMO. There are some guys that like the looks of the stock wheels and just put on bigger tires, some trucks like BalogUK's that look great with this combo and can pull it off. I just don't think that mine could.....
