Bye bye F150 (Good Riddance!)
I almost bough an 06 Ram 1500. It was this 'night rider' package. Real nice truck. All black with carbon fiber dash and a black 'cloth like' bed cover. Drove it 2x but stayed with Ford again. The console shift and sport leather trim seats made me stay. And knowing that Troyer could reprogram my xcal2 for the 06 pcm made the hemi really not so appealing... But they are nice trucks. A friend has an 04 Ram 1500 sport. Zero service issues on it. Runs great. Good luck, hope you get a good one.
*UPDATE* The deal fell through. Just as well as I had started having second thoughts about it as the days went by. I'm kind of down about it because it was a sweet looking Ram. Laramie, loaded to the knockers, grey leather interior with black crystal pearl exterior and of coarse the Hemi with MDS.
The dealer just wouldn't meet my price and they were seriously lowballing me on my trade. Seeing as I just had the cam phasers replaced a couple days ago (Thank God for warranty--- again!
), I'm going to keep my F150 for now and see what Ford does with the '08's. When I think about it, with all the work that's been done under warranty it's still a brand new truck. In fact it's in better shape then when I bought it.

That is the exact reason i kept mine. With all the stuff they replaced, Throttle body, front disc's, rebuilt rear end, outside temp sensor, and replaced rear tail lights I have not had any reacurring problems since (knocks on wood).

). This way I know I now have a solid truck. My dealer is excellent, when their techs fix something, it stays fixed.

), and auto 4. Ford set the benchmark in '04 but now everybody else has caught up and is threatening the F150's grip on the market. This grip will be further threatened when Toyota comes out with their heavy duty truck line.

.And your right, when Toyota comes out with their HD line Ford, GM, and dodge will be looking at the guillotine again. And if they put a CAT Diesel in it like some speculate then "That's it game over man, game over".
But maybe not, maybe someone with a brain and an ear will listen and look around and find out what PEOPLE want not what they THINK we want
.just my other two cent's. (if I keep offering my two cent's i'm gonna go broke like FORD
