04 SCrew Power Window cable problems

It got down to 12 degrees last night, and this AM while running an errand I brought the window down about an inch and then went to close it back.

When the window reached the top of its travel, I heard a sound like someone shooting a 22 at my door. Then the window slowly sank to the depths, while it was still 15 degrees. I touched the window button and heard cable grinding. Not a good sound.

After pulling the window assembly apart, I found that the piece that travels in the up down track, had cracked and broken where the cable seats. My guess is the temperature had made it a bit more brittle.

All the cables are in decent shape, but the piece that rides in the track will have to be replaced.

Does anyone know if this piece comes in the factory assembly?
I think that my best bet is to spend the bucks, and buy the full assembly. It should make the re-install much easier.

This is the first real thing to break on my 04, and I just went to 36500 miles, on the odometer.

If anyone has any tricks or links that might help, please let me know...

Here's a parts diagram of the front door assembly. I don't know if you can purchase the broken part separately. However, here is a link to a Ford parts website where you can buy replacement parts for the door assembly. (I don't know if their prices are the lowest, though.)

Good luck!
