Question What $100 mod would you make 1st?

Hi Guys(and girls), I have had my new 06 Scab 4x4 for a month now, and I want to do something to it. I have $100 to spend on this one mod ( 2 daughters and Santa :santa: is coming!). I already have a K&N filter( stock location). What would you guys buy first?

Hi.

This may not be what you want to hear, but a custom tuned Xcal2 is your single best bang-for-buck mod. Intakes & exhaust, while cool, really don't do it all by themselves.

Sooo.. I'd put that $100 in the bank until you've saved up enough to order an Xcal2 with 3 custom tunes from Troyer Performance (you are entitled to a F150Online member discount).

Meanwhile, print out this page & stuff your Xmas stocking with it :santa:

http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...catalogno=9400

I'm assuming here that your intent is a true performance mod. If not I can't help you, but plenty of folks here can recommend appearance mods, if you prefer.

Just don't buy a No-FlowMaster, fuzzy dice, dingo *****, Volants, 'canned' tuners or no-name ricer intakes, whatever else you do, okay?

You can Search here (try the Chips forum for the best factual info)...

Cheers
Bubba

Thanks dude, I had done some looking, and didn't think there were any good mods for $100 and under. I just wanted to see if there was something I may have missed. I will probably go with the edge, but I really appreciate the response, and your honesty. Thanx.

Floor mats for the front seats? Just a non performace related mod option that I was very happy with.

If you get dirty I suggest these:
http://www.weathertech.com/store/veh..._choice_id=632

If you do not get dirty I suggest these:
http://mats4less.com/capr2frset20.html

I use the catch all's in the summer and the weathertech's in the winter. Michigan gets sloppy. Good Luck

By far, just save for the Edge tuner. Trust me. Worth every penny and then some.

Here's a mod that I recommend for most of you! I along with RockPick and others bought this and think it really adds to the appearance of the truck. The mostly all red brake light is soo much better than the clear OEM one.

Put it towards the truck payment if you are financing.

In my opinion, $100 well spent goes towards mud flaps. They protect the paint, make your truck stay cleaner longer, and give it a slightly more aggressive look. I put the molded Husky flaps on my truck, $39 a set off Ebay. Total = under $100 after shipping. I couldn't be happier.

Great advice, forgot about that. That was the first thing I got for my truck from the dealer, that and a rubber bed mat. They both save your truck for a very small price. Good idea.
