New V8 For 2008 F-150

Was Looking around and saw this engine, seems like it may be true.

Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Boss_engine

The Boss is a forthcoming large-displacement V8 engine project at Ford Motor Company. The engine project was reportedly canceled in 2005 as the company focused on its existing Triton V8 and V10, but was reportedly revived in early 2006 by Mark Fields. The large engine will compete with DaimlerChrysler's new Hemi and General Motors' large Vortec engines. Ford is currently unable to compete with these large V8 engines in the pickup truck, SUV, and luxury car markets with its 5.4 L Modular V8.

The Boss engine will reportedly displace 6.2 L, with the ability to exceed 7.0 L in future applications, and produce more than 425 hp (317 kW) and 425 ft·lb f (576 N·m). It will be built at Cleveland Engine in Cleveland, Ohio. The first application will be Ford's F-Series pickup trucks produced at Dearborn Truck. It has been rumored that the Hurricane will retain many of the Modular V8 design cues such as a deep skirt block with cross bolted main caps, oiling system design, and multivalve overhead camshaft valve train arrangement but it will have much wider bore spacing and bearing surfaces.

The engine was initially called the "Hurricane", but this was changed in mid 2006 to the storied Boss name in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_4.4_Turbo_Diesel

The Ford 4.4 Turbo Diesel is the engine Ford is developing for their F-series trucks both as a base Diesel for their Super Duty Line and possibly for the F-150/Expedition.

It is to be based on the Lion V6 Diesel and has an estimated power output of 330 hp (246 kW) and 515 ft·lbf (698 N·m) of torque. As with the other AJDs it will have a Compacted Graphite Iron block due to the higher power output.

This engine could be seen in Ford trucks as early as 2008

Or Even this,

i Know its been talked about alot, just wondering if it is really true because of the site its one!

Ok, I'll go. Don't mind "anthony". That's just him being himself, never really contributing just posting. For the people who have the know-how to mod/swap/tune engines, this may be good information.

Yeah don't mind me. I wonder where those part numbers came from when you decided to order your tow hooks...

Sounds like Antwon has his panties all bunched up today. Guess if he had a better job, he could have purchased a truck with four real doors.

Don't get pi$$y. Just pointing out the negativity of your post. Don't be a hate-uh.
